Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Reserve Wedding [Erin & Mike] / Los Angeles Wedding Photographer

I’m finally getting a chance to blog Erin & Mike’s super gorgeous Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Reserve wedding! I met Erin years ago while in college studying photography. We were in a Photography 101 course and sat right next to each other. We talked projects, due dates and a bit about boys. We compared technique, composition and creativity against our professor’s trained eye… and somehow, he let us out of there alive ;-). Flash forward to some time after graduation and Erin contacted me to shoot her wedding. Turns out, she was marrying that guy she had talked about in class, the one she had been with since high school.

I first reconnected with Erin during their engagement shoot in San Clemente. It was then that I  got to see the very special dynamic between Erin & Mike. Having been together for 11 years, it was just plain obvious and inspiring to see how in- sync they were. They shared inside jokes, they were best friends and I swear they communicated without any words. Just the perfect team.

Their wedding was full of love, friends and lots of fun (Check out those “Jargaritas” )! Their friends and family spent months putting together countless DIY projects and the result was just lovely. Thank you Erin & Mike for the honor of capturing your special day. Your love for each other is beautiful to watch and I can’t wait to see where this new beginning takes you both. Enjoy!

Franciscan Gardens Wedding [Jeanette & Sean] / San Juan Capistrano Wedding Photographer

I had the opportunity to second shoot this beautiful wedding in the fall and I’m so excited to be sharing just some of my favorites today! Jeanette & Sean’s wedding took place at the always gorgeous Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano. I love this venue so much. The space is flawless and can be made into whatever your heart desires, not to mention the luxurious Bridal Suite which I could just photograph in all day! The surrounding area of the Los Rios District is every photographer’s dream with it’s rustic, fresh and natural open space. Brides-to-be, take note: You will definitely want to add this venue to your list of must-sees!

I loved working on this wedding with the talented Flawless Faces Makeup & Skincare Lounge and 24 Carrots Catering & Events! They made for a very beautiful and delicious day!

Congratulations, Jeanette & Sean!

Gross Family / San Juan Capistrano Family Photographer

I had such a great time spending time with this family! Jordan and her parent share such an obviously strong bond and it was a beautiful thing to watch.

After our shoot, Jordan and her dad were going to the Indian Princess night and Jordan was so excited! Indian Princess is a fabulous program for fathers and daughters, so if you have a little one at home be sure to check it out!

Enjoy & Happy New Year!

XO, Jessica

Kegel Family Holiday Mini-Session / San Juan Capistrano Family Photographer

This Holiday Mini-Session started out as a family shoot- but we all soon realized that Cody had stolen the show! How cute is that puppy? I wanted to wrap him up in my sweater and throw him in my camera bag. However, I figured they would probably notice ;-). Siera found me randomly through a feature on Style Me Pretty and was just so incredibly sweet! I couldn’t wait to work with her and her family. When I finally met them, I recognized her husband immediately! Travis and I had gone to elementary school together…far too many years ago then I’d like to admit! It was so great to see him all grown up and married to such a wonderful woman.

Enjoy these images of your beautiful family! And…Go Sandpipers!! 😉

XO, Jessica
